Being an AU game, “Canon OCs” are generally not allowed or necessary (just describe their abilities and tropes without depending on the canon).

Sorry, the part in parentheses makes this a bit confusing. So if I did have a canon OC (eg. a player character from an MMORPG), could I just app them as a regular OC or are they totally not allowed? Or am I misunderstanding what a canon OC is in this context?
