To apply to join the game with a character, copy the form below, fill it out, and link to your application in the comments below. We will get to you as quickly as we can! If you application has been in the queue for more than 72 hours, contact one of the mods and we'll figure out what's happening.

Application rules:

You can not apply for a character if it would bring you over the limit of five characters in the game.
You can not apply for a character who is already in the game.
You can not apply for a character who is reserved by somebody else.
You can apply for a maximum of two characters from the same canon. These cannot be characters who have significant interactions with each other in canon.
You can only have one application in queue at a time.

In the comment for your application, please indicate the character name, canon, and whether or not they are reserved by you. Make sure you filled out every part of the app before posting!

What can you tell me about the Omegafriends?

Here comes the sun (Dee doo doo dee!)

Character Name: Mint / (ex-)Princess Mint (No she's not going to take a secret identity)
Character Canon: Threads of Fate (US title) / Dewprism (Japanese title)
Canon Background: http://threadsoffate.wikia.com/wiki/Mint (while the wiki calls her the comedy relief, she's actually one of the two main selectable heroes).

Omegafriends Background:
Her initial beginnings are relatively the same: Heir to the throne and spoiled princess, but it was decided by the council that she was unsuited to ascend the throne when her father passed away; and, thus, her younger sister (Maya) bullied her into submission with an artifact of power (The Book of Cosmos) and turned her into a servant. Given how they act around each other, Mint likely bullied Maya oftentimes before this incident. This may or may not have been instigated by the deceptive “Doll Master”, a supposed loyal servant of the royal family, depending on the (unlikely) chance that the game gets a sizable Threads of Fate cast.

The East Heaven Kingdom in this AU setting would be a small kingdom somewhere in Asia, though not terribly well known.

Unable to stand the treatment she was receiving after her “demotion” to servant, Mint ran away and swore revenge on her sister; as well as suddenly deciding that perhaps she should take it a step further: WORLD DOMINATION. Of course, with her self-taught magic and lack of minions, she would have some trouble actually completing such an objective on her own. Thus, she sought to travel the world in search of ancient artifacts that may prove useful in this endeavor. And then she heard of Venture City... and sought to join the ranks of the Omegafriends, deciding that they probably could have information on something she could use. Of course, she wouldn't announce her plans and get herself in trouble so easily... or, at least, try not to.

Affiliation: Omegafriends. While she has … rather selfish desires, she more or less does the right thing in the end. Though, depending on how things pan out, she could easily end up a temporary villain if she gets her hands on something that would help her obtain WORLD DOMINATION.

Personality:
Mint's personality doesn't deviate from her canon personality. At all.

On first glance, it's easy to see that Mint is spoiled. And yet, despite her initial upbringing, she is not one to laze around. She is very brash, reckless(adventurous), and willing to look danger in the face. Mostly. She may have misgivings of going up against something like a dragon, but she is far from being a coward. In the end, yes, she will fight that dragon; even if legends talk about it reducing an entire army to ashes. That said, she is a dirty fighter and if there's a chance to get a cheap shot in? She'll take it. Mint will not, however, kill anybody if she can help it; no matter who it is.

And she is violent, very much so. It is very easy to provoke Mint into a fight. Even just calling her violent can provoke a reaction (re: a dropkick) out of her, despite the fact that it proves the accuser's point. She has little to her personality that would befit a princess.

For her somewhat brutish and violent nature, Mint does have a sly and conniving side to her. While she prefers to default to being blunt with people, she sometimes recognizes that it's better to have a gentler approach to certain situations. That said, she's far from perfect and may accidentally let something slip out; especially if she believes she's getting closer to achieving one of her selfish goals.

Also, she's very greedy and gluttonous. Having been ousted from her position as royalty has taught her the importance of material wealth, and thus is likely to go after treasure almost as much as items of great power. She dislikes working with others if she knows it means she'll get a smaller cut of a reward. Mint has a huge ego, and for the most part isn't afraid of boasting about herself.

All that said, (ex-)Princess Mint, in the end, will do the right thing. No, she doesn't believe in the power of friendship and love or anything like that. But she won't let innocents be hurt, or let criminals get away with their misdeeds. If getting what she wants will hurt innocent bystander(s), she simply won't do it (Unless they insult her or something, but then she'll just smack them). And she certainly won't let anybody destroy the world, because then how would she achieve WORLD DOMINATION?!

Also: She hates pumpkins. Like, absolutely loathes them. Anything pumpkin-ish. Depending on the situation and the type of pumpkin, they either inspire fear, disgust, or plain make her violent. Though, the fear reaction only really happens if she has no power to do anything about it.

Powers:
From her source cannon, her magic is based off of combining two different aspects of magic (items?) to create certain effects. Usually offensive based ones, but each one behaving in different ways and causing elemental damage of the appropriate type.

For the sake of this game, she just has an overall pretty decent grasp of elemental magic (including light and dark magic(which yes she can obtain from her game))... as well as the ability to summon projectile bombs (the cartoon style orb shaped bombs) and healing (two specific abilities she can get in her game). As an example, with fire magic, she can do standard fireballs, do a flamethrower-esque attack, just make a campfire light up, or create a wall of fire. Lightning can summon lightning strikes or just chain a projectile zap. Gusts of wind with air, water blasts, earth projectiles and earth manipulation... etc. While formidable, it would be very unlikely for her to magic up something to one-shot a perfectly healthy main villain.

She is equipped with two enchanted chakrams (though they look like oversized rings) which help enhance her magic; though she's also good at bludgeoning people with them.

Also, despite her spoiled and gluttonous self, she is surprisingly fit. Somehow, she has mastered the art of high velocity drop kicks from quite the range without the aid of magic.
