1a) I think I'm fine with you making up an obscure religion for him to ascribe to. 1b) No religious school is currently on the list, but the locations page encourages collaborative worldbuilding and creating your own locations, so once your app is accepted, you could add a new school yourself!
2a) Include a general overview and outline any differences between the game and the AU version, then link the wiki for the nitty gritty.
2b) As long as there is at least an extremely nebulous and handwavy explanation, I don't see why not.
3) I'd go ahead and detail them out as much as you want - if someone wants to app one later, they can talk to you about retconning things.
