Omegafriends

The Protector is former superhero legend that lost all his powers in an incident 4 years ago. Rather than retire from the game, he founded the Omegafriends as a way to gather aspiring new heroes together to combat evil. Besides knowing basically every superhero in the western hemisphere, The Protector is very good at keeping everything organized, and his steadfast belief in the principles of justice helps keep him going.

Dr. Andrew Jefferson, formerly Megan Jefferson, is a multidisciplinary science genius in charge of the Omegafriends Research Division. Amidst budget constraints and internal politics, he always does the best he can to help the Omegafriends out for any scientific need they might encounter in their superheroics. He was once actually an apprentice to Dr. Devious, but now might just be one of her most personal rivals.

Venture City

The Mayor is earnest and well-intentioned, but functionally out of her league when it comes to anything supervillainous. The most useful thing she’s done in the eyes of the superheroic community is put plenty of city funding aside to help fund the Omegafriends. Politically centrist, and surprisingly good at rallying the city assembly at the strangest times. Any act of great superheroism is inevitably rewarded by the ever-faithful Mayor by the erecting of yet another statue.

Police Chief Quimbley is beleaguered, between having to maintain the Venture City prison system - dealing with both super and ordinary villains, and having to keep them apart - and running a police force who have to be able to do as much of their jobs as possible while regularly dealing with ‘22-7s’ (supervillains), who are vastly above their capabilities. He takes the job in stride, but his relationship with the Omegafriends is a strained one, and he’s looking forward to retirement.

Jade Joyce Jackson is the head editor of the Daily Venture, Venture City’s biggest newspaper. Constantly overworked and constantly chewing on cheap cigars, she seethes with passion for the next big story, and Jackson knows what sells: Supers. She wants pictures! Pictures of the Omegafriends!

Thomas Titan is a big business magnate, who runs the largest textile mill on the West Coast; beloved philanthropist and all-around well-liked guy. However, the story behind his rise to riches remains a mystery, as does what he does when he’s not at the office...

Villains

Lord Titan is a masked megalomaniac and former arch-nemesis of The Protector. He always has a hundred schemes at work, planning to rob banks, or steal thousands of fruit pies, or destroy Venture City, or even conquer the world! He bears a suspicious resemblance to a certain old-money philanthropist, but nobody’s managed to prove the connection...

Doctor Demetria Devious is a classical mad scientist. Very classical. She actually built a castle atop a hill outside of town and everything, and saves her schemes for dark and stormy nights. Her metahuman mind has borne countless inventions across countless disciplines... But also leads to her regularly trying to claim Venture City for herself. She tends to get carried away with her inventions, And when she doesn’t, her army of Deviobots pick up the slack.

Leader One is the leader of the Deviobots. Reporting only to Dr. Devious herself, this mechanical menace will stop at nothing to carry out Devious's latest scheme, and usually has a swarm of evil robots backing it up!

Lady Blue is one of the greatest thieves of all time. No, seriously, she steals across time. No one’s quite sure how she pulls her time-traveling shenanigans, though most suspect it’s her Flux Capacitor Belt (But how is she feeding in 1.21 gigawatts of power to it?). She likes to steal ancient objects, then sell them in the modern day for immense amounts of money. Wanted by law enforcement in 15 different centuries, Lady Blue is always giving the cops the slip, and often finds herself tangling with the Omegafriends instead.
