The Pitch
In the West Coast city of Venture City, there are Hipsters, Video Game Developers, and quite the preponderance of super-powered individuals! The city’s been in the middle of a Supers boom recently, and last year, former superhero The Protector started organizing an organization for heroically-minded powered individuals - the Omegafriends!
The Omegafriends are a semi-secret organization who help with protecting your normal friends and family from villains, so that you can focus on saving the day and keeping your cover story intact. The former isn’t especially optional, though - because the boom has created piles and piles of supervillains, too, and you’re now one of the best people to stop them.
Wacky Antics, trying to keep your identity secret, strange supervillain schemes, the secret Omegabase - the Omegafriends have a lot on their plates, but they will always save the day!
Omegafriends is a Saturday Morning Cartoon Superhero AU RP about juggling day-to-day life with protecting the city from villainous catastrophe.
Omegawatches and the Omegabase
Each member of the Omegafriends, upon their swearing in, is given a trust Omegawatch! This hi-tech gadget can be used to make text, audio, or video posts to the Omeganet, a secret network only accessible to the Omegafriends... or so we’d like to say, but Dr. Devious is always one step ahead of the Omegafriends tech team when it comes to hacking in, so there’s a lot of villains posting on it, too. As a countermeasure, it’s possible to filter posts to select individuals, and not even Devious’s hacking schemes can break that.
In addition to communication, the Omegawatch is a key - just go to any phone booth (they are suspiciously common in Venture City, blame the hipsters for that) and scan the watch to be transported downwards to the secret underground Omegabase!
In the Omegabase, an aspiring hero can network with their allies, learn more about their powers, train with other heroes, and keep a lookout for villain activity. Whenever trouble strikes in Venture City, the Omegasignal is launched, acting as a beacon for all available Omegafriends to gather and save the day!
